How to read the eBay sell-through rate calculator result
Sell-through rate measures demand against your supply decision. Two sellers can sell the same 96 units in a month; the one who listed 120 has an 80% rate, the one who listed 400 has 24% and four times the cash tied up in stock that is not moving.
A low rate has two usual causes: too much stock for the demand, or a price that is out of line with the listings shown alongside yours. A very high rate often means you ran out, and could have sold more or sold for more. Use the rate per product to decide what to reorder, what to reprice and what to clear. Our guide on how to calculate eBay sell-through rate covers where to find the numbers.

How is sell-through rate calculated?
Units sold divided by units listed in the same period, multiplied by 100. If you listed 120 units and sold 96 in a month, the sell-through rate is 80%.
What is a good sell-through rate on eBay?
It depends on the category and the price. As a rough reading: under 30% suggests too much supply or the wrong price, 30 to 60% is normal for many categories, 60 to 80% is healthy, and above 80% suggests you could stock more or test a higher price.
Where do I find sold and listed numbers?
For your own listings, from Seller Hub reports for the period. For market research, Terapeak in Seller Hub shows sold and active listings for a search, which gives a market sell-through for a product before you stock it.
Should I measure it per product or for the whole store?
Per product, per period. A store-wide rate hides the two products dragging it down and the two you should be reordering.
What does days of stock mean?
At the pace you sold during the period, how many days it would take to sell the units still listed. It turns sell-through into a reorder or clearance decision.
