Title optimisation
Buyer search terms, in order, without repetition or banned promotional phrases.
eBay listing optimization: titles, item specifics, categories, photos, descriptions and pricing rebuilt for eBay’s Best Match and for the buyer reading the page.
Illustrative example, not client data
The listing disappears from every filtered search that uses them.
Internal codes, adjectives and repeated words where the buyer's search terms should be.
Listed where it fits the seller's logic rather than where eBay and buyers look.
A main photo or price that loses to the next result on the page.
Descriptions that do not answer the questions buyers then ask, or shipping that surprises at checkout.
The same item listed several times, splitting the history and breaking the listing practices policy.
We read the traffic report first to see where each listing loses the buyer: not shown, shown but not clicked, clicked but not bought. Each has a different fix. Relevance problems are fixed in titles, item specifics and category; click problems in the main photo, price and shipping; conversion problems in the description, returns and photos. We revise listings in place so sales history is kept.
eBay listing optimization starts from eBay's own guidance in its Seller Center and from your traffic report, not from generic keyword lists.

Buyer search terms, in order, without repetition or banned promotional phrases.
Required and recommended specifics completed so the listing survives filters.
Correct category; multi-variation listings where they consolidate the catalogue.
Main image that wins the click; supporting images that answer questions.
Mobile-readable, factual, and written to prevent returns and negative feedback.
Competitive against the listings shown alongside yours, checked against margin.
From a new listing to hundreds of existing ones fixed in bulk.
Impressions, CTR and conversion per listing from Seller Hub.
Listings ranked by the revenue a fix would unlock.
Revised in place, in batches, so results can be read.
Same metrics, same period length, before and after.
The next batch, with what worked applied to it.

Best Match rewards listings buyers click and buy when they see them. A keyword-perfect title on a listing with a weak photo and missing specifics gets shown, loses the click, and slides. That is why title work alone rarely holds, and why we fix the listing as a whole, in the order the traffic report says.
eBay's Best Match considers how relevant a listing is to the search (title, item specifics, category), the listing's own performance (how often it is clicked and bought when shown), price and shipping competitiveness, and seller performance. Titles matter, but item specifics and conversion matter as much, which is why keyword-stuffed titles on thin listings do not hold their position.
Up to 80 characters. We use them for the words buyers search for, in the order they search, without repeating words or adding the promotional phrases eBay's listing practices policy discourages.
Buyers filter by them and eBay uses them to match searches. A listing missing brand, size, model or colour drops out of filtered results entirely, however good the title is.
Revising a live listing keeps its history. Ending and relisting does not. We revise in place wherever possible and only relist when the listing is structurally wrong, such as the wrong category or a variation setup that has to be rebuilt.
Up to 250 variations, across up to 5 variation details with up to 50 values each, and up to 24 photos. Multi-variation listings are often the fastest way to consolidate a catalogue that is competing with itself.
