The store

A focused catalogue for two kinds of customer

PetFerra describes itself as a store for pet parents looking for hand-picked essentials for dogs and cats, from feeding and grooming to travel, toys and everyday care. The homepage opens with exactly that choice: two entry points, Shop Dog Essentials and Shop Cat Essentials, rather than a long category list.

The catalogue is deliberately small (8 products listed in October 2026), so the build puts the weight on presenting each product well and on the content and trust signals around it.

Structure

Organised the way pet owners shop

Navigation follows the animal first and the need second: Dogs splits into Feeding & Enrichment and Grooming & Care; Cats into Enrichment & Scratching and Litter & Hygiene. Sale and New Arrivals sit beside them, with the blog, About and Contact pages in the same menu. The footer repeats the shop paths and groups the customer-care pages together.

Trust and content

What a first-time buyer sees before checkout

A trust strip runs above the header and again under the hero: easy returns, secure checkout, and free shipping over a threshold. Product reviews are collected and shown through a reviews app. The customer-care section covers shipping, returns and refunds, privacy, terms and FAQs. A newsletter sign-up offers deals and tips, and a blog of pet-care guides (58 posts in October 2026) gives the store content to rank and link from.

Key takeaways

What other stores can take from it

  • Organise the catalogue the way customers think: here, by animal first, then by need.
  • With a small catalogue, every product page and trust signal carries more weight.
  • Policies, returns and checkout security belong where buyers decide, not only in the footer.
  • A blog gives a young store pages to rank and link from while the catalogue grows.
